WHY BRAHMOS IS VERY LETHAL ???

The supersonic speed of Brahmos might not require the Brahmos to carry heavy warheads as due to high kinetic energy and the incendiary effect of residual fuel the could cause serious destruction even with lighter warhead.

The 40th artillery division is the in charge of the missile. The three Brahmos missile regiments raised so far have been deployed against Pakistan in the western sector.
In oct. 2011, govt. Of India gave green signal to deploy missile in Arunachal Pradesh border against China.

India also planned to provide the Brhamos missile to Vietnam to strength its position in South China sea.

It should be noted that the Brahmos cannot be implemented by any given missile defence in the world given its ability to be maneuverable and also because of its stealth technology as has been motioned above.

Brahmos is already inducted in INS Rajput and INS Ranvir also it is reported that it will be fitted in INS Teg and INS Chakra also.
The Submarine launched version of the Brahmos would be step ahead for Indian Navy to acquire Blue water capability. And also we can’t ignore the Brahmos fitted in SU-30MKI.

China’s react-
The 40th regiment of Brahmos would be India’s first “offensive tactical missile” deployed against China. China has been worried about the Brahmos supersonic cruise missiles. This is because the Brahmos is claimed to be faster and more sophisticated than even the U.S tomahawk cruise missile.

BRAHMOS MISSILE

China is also annoyed at the fact that India had offered the missile to Vietnam as part of India’s strategy of blockade against China.China had made it clear that it would not allow any other power to dominate East China sea. China sees the transfer of Brahmos missile to Vietnam as a strategy of dominating its power as which the Chinese have implemented against India.

Pakistan react-
After the testing of Brahmos by India, Pakistan tested its Babur missile which is nuclear capable ground launched cruise missile with range of 700km.

A defence analyst of Pakistan had stated that the Babur missile could be intersected by airborne interceptors and can successfully shot down.

Limitations-it has only 290km range due to the fact that both India and Russia had a abide by the provision of the Missile technology control Regime (MTCR).a higher range could have given India a better chance to strike even deeper into enemy territory.
